Amanda’s work is inspired by the magic of simple moments. A cosy lamp-lit bedroom room, a cool cheek on your forehead, and little fingers tangled in your hair. Amanda’s warm, naturalistic artwork feels like a bedtime-story, charged with nostalgia, and cosy comforts.

When Amanda was little, she grew up in Malvern with her parents and brother, and attended Cheltenham Art College. At 19 she moved to Wales, and studied for a year at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, before moving to the Cardiff School of Art and Design, where she graduated in Fine Art (BA) in 2010.

Now she sketches by the sea from her home studio near Cowbridge, in Wales. She has two little children of her own, who changed how she saw the world. In observing them, and longing to preserve as many of the day-to-day memories as she could, her artistic style was born.
